Well, after what seems like years of staring at a mountain of notes, I have finally completed my fifth book ‘OVDA – An Airbase for Peace’. A light-hearted memoir of work, comradeship and travel in the Holy Lands of Israel and Palestine – before the hard borders and current humanitarian tragedy. This makes my story all the more poignant, as the present reality contrasts dramatically with my upbeat narrative of an adventure during a time of relative peace and freedom of movement – allowing me to also explore most of the ancient biblical sites in this land of contrasting cultures and a melting pot of faiths. Not forgetting that my experience happened only five years after a full-blown regional Arab-Israeli war in 1973. So, there must be hope for Peace in the not to distant future, as 2024 nears its end.
Of further good news on my book front, is new interest has been forthcoming locally, with my previous book Pablo and Jackson On Tour. Chichester’s prestigious Oxmarket Contemporary has taken a good batch of my hardback edition for their Gallery’s bookshop, in advance of their Christmas season launch.
OVDA, is now for sale on Amazon’s Kindle platform and can easily be accessed via my website here or online.
